A Sidmouth family is appealing for residents to part with their unwanted clothes to raise money for a guinea pig rescue home.

Kyrstie Rich and daughters Emily and Mary are holding a ‘pre-loved’ sale in aid of Pips Guinea Pig Rescue Centre, at Sidmouth Methodist Church on Saturday, December 17, between 10am and 2pm.

The family recently adopted two sows from the centre, Mog and Mochi, to add to their herd of four.

Kyrstie, of Knowle Drive, said: “I was overwhelmed when I visited the rescue home where all these little animals are cared for. There is a real dedication, love and commitment and a true passion for the welfare of animals.

“These little animals are so much more than something in a hutch at the bottom of the garden, as anyone who has had them will know.”

She is appealing for residents to donate any clothes they have hardly worn for the event.

If you would like to donate, call Kyrstie on 07766 110176 or 01395 579030. She is happy to arrange to collect the items.
