A Sidford teenager is continuing his ‘spectacular’ form for Somerset Cricket Club - keeping the club in contention for the championship title.
Dom Bess took five wickets on day two of the club’s match against Nottinghamshire in the Specsavers County Championship.
The 19-year-old has achieved a combined figure of 13 wickets for 102 runs in his first three championship innings as a bowler.
This means the teenager is currently averaging 7.8 runs for every wicket he has taken.
It comes after his debut earlier this month when he took eight wickets for 59 runs.
He told the club on Wednesday: “It’s nice to put performances in for the side.”
