A lamb was left fighting for its life and another injured following a suspected dog attack last week.
Farmer George Hansford is appealing for people to keep their animals under control following the incident in a field just north of The King’s School on Thursday, February 11.
He said: “Unfortunately, we did not see them - we just found two lambs injured – one with a hole ripped into its behind and one with similar injuries.
“One will be alright, but we question if the other will pull through. It’s in a state of shock. It just lies down in a corner of the shed – whether it’s going to live or die, we cannot say, but it is suffering a lot.”
Mr Hansford said he has reported the incident to the police.
