Children at Sidbury Primary School had a flipping great Pancake Day with some help from the village’s Women’s Institute.
Pupils marked Shrove Tuesday by racing each other in the school hall, aiming to toss pancakes with perfect precision as they headed for the finish line.
The tasty treats had been prepared by Monica Hennessey, treasurer of Sidbury WI. She was joined by members Mary Tucker, Mary Dowell and Dezley Jones.
Each of the school’s five classes took it in turns to race each other.
At the end of the morning, the WI presented books and cream eggs to the pupils.
