Tributes were left by Alma Bridge this week to two homeless men who sadly lost their lives in Sidmouth this year.
Tommy Duffy was found dead after sleeping in sub-zero temperatures in a Port Royal shelter in January.
A second man, aged 42, but yet to be formally identified, was found in the porch of the Unitarian Church on November 6.
The tribute describes them as ‘gentlemen of the road’ and ‘pyrates (sic) of the road’.
It stands on the bank of the River Sid below a pirate flag - the national flags of Wales and Ireland, and the county flag of Devon.
