Fire crews were called to tackle a major corn field blaze on Sidmouth’s coast path this morning (Friday).
Firefighters from the town were called to the site at Dunscombe Cliff, near Salcombe Regis at 11.27am this morning.
It took nearly an hour to extinguish the flames, which completely destroyed the field of standing corn, which measured approximately 500 metres by 300 metres.
Crews put out the fire by 12.29pm using six hose jet reels.
