Sidmouth Lifeboat launched this afternoon (Wednesday) following concerns for the safety of two adults and five children.
A member of the public contacted the Coastguard after the group, which had left Sidmouth at around 1pm in a kayak and dinghy, had not returned.
The four-man lifeboat crew launched at 2.50pm, and after conducting a search, found the group safe and well on Weston Beach.
