Sidmouth in Bloom (SiB) is again appealing for horticultural heroes to tool-up and hoe down the streets for its regional awards effort.
The group wants residents to lend a green-fingered hand to weed, clean and preen before the South West in Bloom judges arrive tomorrow (Saturday).
The town last year triumphed with a gold award in the Sargent Cup category - and its hard working chairman, Lynette Talbot, was singled out for her contribution to the community with an accolade.
Lynette said: “We’ve had a lot of people offering to help.
“I’d like to see the streets free from rubbish – there will be a lot of people in town on Saturday so if you could just look round for litter, and not just were we will be going.
“People should be aware of keeping the whole town looking great and the beach tidy.”
