VOLUNTEERS turned out to clean up and restore a storm-hit Sidmouth seafront attraction on Saturday.
They tended to the Oceanscene beach garden in the hope of having it back to its best for when regional and national competition judges visit the town in the summer.
Canoes have been donated to the feature by Sidmouth Surf Lifesaving Club and helpers recovered two lobster pots.
Sidmouth in Bloom chairman Lynette Talbot found that some of the planting is recovering and growing up through the layers of shingle deposited by the winter storms. The volunteers removed shingle from the boat area and secured the canoes and pots to new posts.
