Ottery St Mary’s popular Mill Street market is unlikely to take place until May at the earliest, according to organisers.
The market attracted some 20 traders each month and was reluctantly suspended by the town council in July last year after cars parked in Mill Street made the event difficult to run.
Councillor John Harding, one of the organisers, had hoped the event would return in February - but an application to allow parking restrictions on the road during market days is still being processed by the county council.
