PETRIFYING PECO: Pecorama is going out with a bang before it closes on November 2.

The railway will be decorated in a Halloween theme and if kids go in fancy dress they will get a free treat from the Garden Room Restaurant.

There will be children’s entertainment daily from Friday, October 29, to Monday, November 2.

STROLL IN: Teachers at Beer Primary School showed youngsters how to stay visible and safe on their annual walk-in day on Friday, October 12.

The kids, parents and staff met at the Jubilee Gardens in reflective gear and made the trip as a collective.

RNLI WALK: Ramblers will be meeting at Money Acre Cross for a sponsored walk in aid of Beer RNLI.

Walkers can either take the six miles to Colyford, via Farway and Colyton, or continue on the full nine miles to Seaton along country lanes and public footpaths.

Registration is at 9.45am and the walk starts at 10am.

BLAZER MONEY: The Beer Primary School PFTA has decided to spend the �750 raised runners in the Blazer race on September 9 on a new play house for the children.

CHURCH CONCERT: St Winifred’s Church in Branscombe is having an autumn concert to raise church funds on Saturday, October 27 from 7.30pm.

It will feature Val Howels, Maggie’s Men and the Wags, the Cameo Singers, and many more.

There will be wine and nibbles during the interview.

BEER FESTIVAL: The Dolphin pub in Beer is holding a beer and cider festival to celebrate the best of the West from next Friday.

The pub’s first ever drinks festival will run from October 26 to 28 and feature live music from The Barries, Jamie Gorman, the Doo-Dahs and Break the Chain.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING: Branscombe residents had their say on where they thought future houses should be built in the villages on Saturday.

The parish council open day was a chance to offer up land for development and review the suggested changes to the ‘Built up area boundary’.
