Woolbrook and Tipton drama evenings boost cancer charity’s funds
MASQUERADE’s annual sausage and mash suppers and one-act plays have raised 2,600 for FORCE cancer charity.
A cheque was presented to the charity’s chief fund raiser, Melvyn Hayes (left) by (l-r): Paul Kinson, stage manager, Pia Payne and Ray Pickworth; who both appeared in one of the two short plays, and Ken Davis, business manager for Masquerade.
Masquerade holds its sausage and mash suppers at Tipton St John community hall and St Francis church hall, Woolbrook.
Ken said: “Although audience figures at Tipton were lower than usual, due to dates clashing with Bonfire Night celebrations, our supporters rallied round and record number boosted audience figures at Woolbrook.”
Now Masquerade is considering ideas for future fund raising events for FORCE.
