Bang on target with bangers and mash quiz for Sidmouth RNLI
A bangers and mash quiz night at Kennaway House was bang on target as a popular and successful fund raiser for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution in Sidmouth.
Organised by the Sidmouth branch, it raised over 1,300 for the cause dedicated to saving lives at sea, writes Kingsley Squire.
Chairman John Govier thanked everyone for their support, not least those who donated raffle prizes and Colin Pyne at the Bedford Hotel who delivered the mash ready cooked and the delicious onion gravy.
The evening finished with a spirited auction by Ed Harrison of the traditional Vinnicombe’s bread fish, knocked down after brisk bidding to Michael Lee.
