MORE than 500 raised from a mega-raffle will help buy life-saving equipment for Sidmouth St John Ambulance.

A draw was carried out at the charity’s Blackmore Drive base on Tuesday as lucky winners bagged bumper cash prizes.

A profit of 541 from the raffle will go to Sidmouth St John Fellowship funds and help purchase kit for the town’s branch of the cause.

The raffle result was largely due to organisers Douglas and Heather Parsons who obtained various prizes and, along with brigade and fellowship members, sold tickets.

Penny Tupper landed the top prize of 250 while Sue Pink (pictured) was handed 100 for bagging second place.
