Get growing those prize-winning vegetables as the Annual Beer Pumpkin Show takes place next Saturday.
Held at Beer Social Club the show raises funds for local charities and organisations, and this year there are special categories for heaviest carrots and heaviest cabbage.
There is also a children’s competition to enter a decorated vegetable for the show, an auction and raffles.
At last year’s show Robert Sweetland’s mammoth 295 pound pumpkin took the overall prize for heaviest in show, but there was also 500 raised for various local charities and 100 given away to the entrants of the children’s decorated vegetable competition.
All entries need to be with the social club by 4pm on the day.
