CONCERNED Sidmouth residents fear speeding motorists have turned a town road into an accident waiting to happen.
Drivers regularly ignore the 30 miles per hour limit in Sid Road, racing along at as fast as 50mph according to homeowner Christine Davies.
“We fear crossing the road,” she said. “There are no signs and no pavement. You feel very vulnerable walking down a busy road with no pavement.”
She said walkers and residents who use a popular entrance to the Byes along the stretch are at risk from speeders.
