Rising tide catches out three lads on Chit Rocks
THREE boys, aged between 11 and 13, were rescued after being cut off by the rising tide on Monday afternoon while they were on Chit Rocks off Sidmouth beach.
Coastguard rescue officers from Sidmouth and Beer were tasked around 5.23pm and Sidmouth Lifeboat was launched to rescue the lads.
They were returned to Sidmouth beach by the lifeboat crew, where they were met by coastguard members then reunited with their parents.
