Coastguard rescue on Saturday
A woman and her black Labrador dog, Laddie, were airlifted to safety on Saturday after they became stuck on crumbling cliffs off Dunscombe beach near Sidmouth.
The incident took place just before 11am. Beer, Sidmouth and Exmouth Coastguard rescue teams all took part in the rescue.
On scene they established the owner had attempted to rescue her dog and had become stuck.
As the site was inaccessible, the coastguard helicopter rescue safely recovered the pair to the top of the cliff.
