CELEBRATED watercolour landscape artist Michael Morgan, whose solo exhibition opens at Marine House at Beer art gallery with a private view on Saturday, June 19, has already sold half of the 50 paintings being shown.
CELEBRATED watercolour landscape artist Michael Morgan, whose solo exhibition opens at Marine House at Beer art gallery with a private view on Saturday, June 19, has already sold half of the 50 paintings being shown.
It is his first solo show at the gallery for two years and runs until Saturday, July 3.
"Since the publication of the catalogue, 25 paintings have sold and I am very encouraged by this," said Michael, who lives near Axminster and who has been honoured by having the new sixth form art studio at Axe Valley Community College named after him.
"It seems that the financial downturn has not seriously affected people's interest in purchasing my work...which has increase [in value] six-fold in the last 10 years.
