Notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, rubbers, rulers and sharpeners have been collected as well as useful items such as towels, sandals, spoons and clothing.
Parents Mrs Hannan and Mrs Manley helped to introduce the project to children, and organise the collection of items to fill backpacks.
