A VICTIM of fantasist Stephen Jackley has declared the armed robber a "sickening crook".

Luke Twistleton was a student at the same university as Jackley, but had never met him before he was confronted by the balaclava-clad raider.

The 22-year-old was on his first day of part-time work at William Hill bookmakers in Worcester, when the drama unfolded.

Mr Twistleton and his colleague were getting ready to go home when they heard a noise from the toilet and he went to investigate.

He recalled: "He put a gun to my head and told me to get on the floor. I refused to get down and he bashed in the fire door and got away."

Jackley escaped with 530.

The terrifying experience caused Mr Twistleton to break down at university the next day.

He became "a bit of recluse", needed sleeping tablets for three months and his studies were affected.

He was in court to see Jackley sentenced because he wanted to look at him face to face.

He said: "I wanted to see his reaction to the 13-year jail sentence but he didn't show much emotion. He kept a very closed face.
