SCHOOLS in Sidmouth and the surrounding areas will have to fight even harder this year to be in with a chance of scooping the Green School of the Year Award and winning a �2,000 prize. Following the success of the launch of the 'Devon' award by Pennywell Farm, a green tourism business, this year the contest is also open to all Cornwall schools. The award is designed to encourage and recognise the environmental efforts of schools and the winner will be awarded a laptop and printer and a free visit to Pennywell. There are five categories covering Green Transport, Local Products and services, Recycling, Energy and Innovation.
