LUCKY Ottery resident Hilary Stone celebrated a �1,000 Hospiscare Lottery win that will make "a world of difference" to her last week.
Pensioner Hilary, 74, of Shutes Mead, who plays the weekly lottery with husband, Ron, 81, said: "It was a wonderful surprise to find out we had won, it has really cheered us up. I had a feeling this was going to be a lucky year for us. We are still deciding what to spend the money on - maybe we'll buy a motorised wheelchair for Ron, which would help us get out and about more."
The Hospiscare Lottery raises more than a quarter of a million pounds every year for the charity, which The charity, which cares for people with a terminal illness in their own homes, giving specialist nursing care as well as emotional support.
More than 65p in every pound of the lottery goes to providing services and supporting nurses.
