POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a horse box was stolen from the Newton Poppleford area last week. The box was taken between 5.30pm on Thursday, March 19 and 4am on Friday, March 20 from a field next to the A3052 on the Exeter side of the village
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a horse box was stolen from the Newton Poppleford area last week.
The box was taken between 5.30pm on Thursday, March 19 and 4am on Friday, March 20 from a field next to the A3052 on the Exeter side of the village.
Entry was gained through a gate and as a result six horses escaped from the field onto the road.
They were eventually herded back through the gate without injury.
The horse box was later found in Crewkerne, Somerset but police are urging people who saw anyone acting suspiciously in that area to contact them.
