POLICE are appealing for information after a driver hit another car but failed to stop.
The incident happened last Friday afternoon in Alexandria Road when a Fiat Panda was hit by a gold coloured car, believed to be a Toyota Yaris.
The Fiat was then pushed into a red Ford Fiesta which was parked at the side of the road. The driver of the gold car drove off without swapping any details and left a part of their car lying on the road. Nobody was injured in the collision.
A police spokesperson said: "It is an offence to leave the scene of an accident whether you caused it or not. We would like the driver of the vehicle to come forward.
"We would also like to hear from any garages or body repair shops that may have to repair such a vehicle or anybody with information to contact us."
Anyone who can help the police with their enquiries should contact them on 08452 777444 quoting log number 634 20/02/09.
