Over-running engineering work at Seven Kings is causing major delays and train cancellations on Greater Anglia services into Liverpool Street this morning.

Disruption is expected until at least 10am this morning, with the train operator saying all four lines at the east London station are currently blocked.

This means both the services between Romford and Upminster via Emerson Park are suspended, and the main line between Shenfield and London Liverpool Street are cancelled or revised during the busy Monday rush-hour.

TfL are accepting tickets on bus routes 25 between Ilford-Stratford, and routes 86 between Romford and Shenfield, and c2c said train passengers can use their services between Upminster and Fenchurch Street.

London Underground is also accepting tickets between Romford and Upminster until further notice.

A statement from Greater Anglia said the Romford-Upminster service is planned to restart with the 10.11am departure from Romford, and the 10.28am from Upminster.

On the operator’s Metro service into Liverpool Street trains will not be calling at Maryland, Forest Gate, Manor Park, Seven King’s, Goodmayes or Chadwell Heath in both directions until further notice.

And the services which are running on a diverted route along the main-line are experiencing delays of 15 to 20 minutes via Stratford.
