The East Devon Daytime Brass Band entertained residents at the Lockyer Lodge retirement living development in Sidford on Tuesday, December 6.

Apartment owners and neighbouring locals attended a Christmas concert where the band, many of whom are retired themselves, encouraged people who had musical instruments tucked away in a cupboard to get them out and join in.

Churchill Retirement Living's regional marketing executive Jo Ridehalgh said: “We were delighted to welcome everyone to Lockyer Lodge’s special Christmas concert, and we’d like to say a big thank you to the East Devon Daytime Brass Band for their wonderful performance.

“It was the perfect opportunity for local people to come together with apartment owners at the Lodge, get into the festive spirit and see what’s on offer here.

“Events like this are a big part of the fun and sociable lifestyle that comes with a brand new Churchill apartment.”

In addition to the band's performance fee, Churchill Retirement Living will donate £75 to their nominated charities: Devon Air Ambulance, Devon Freewheelers and the Alzheimer’s Society for Devon & Cornwall.
