Three Sidmouth College students have released a medley of Christmas songs on video to help fund their places on a volunteering trip to Costa Rica.
Tom Eaves, Alistair Mounery and Rory Harmson got the idea after busking during Sidmouth’s late-night shopping.
They said: “Everyone was so friendly and supportive of us, so we thought we’d try sharing our music a bit wider to raise funds, as we really want to be able to volunteer in Costa Rica.”
The boys are fundraising to take part in an four-week expedition in 2024 to the biodiverse remote rainforest of Costa Rica with Camps International.
They will be living in the heart of the rainforest, working alongside local people learning about innovative and sustainable solutions to environmental issues, and taking part in inspiring projects to support the environment, wildlife and community.
They will also undertake their PADI Open Water Dive Qualification to help with marine conservation projects.
The video is available on YouTube and donations can be made via PayPal.
