The A3052 is open again this morning after being closed for around six hours on Saturday night (February 4) after an accident near Colyford.
At 8.14pm Devon Alert reported that the road was closed between Sidford Cross and Boshill Hill, Colyford, because of an ‘ongoing incident’.
Traffic was being diverted onto the A35 via the A375 through Sidbury and the A358 through Musbury.
The A3052 reopened at 2.24am.
Police said the closure had been needed for officers to carry out a full scene examination and recover vehicles following the accident. Inquiries are continuing away from the scene.
There are no further details of the accident at this stage.
