A motorcyclist has been killed in an accident near Sidmouth on Saturday (February 4).
Emergency services were called to Stevens Cross at Sidford on the A3052 just after 7.10pm after reports of a single-vehicle collision.
The biker, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for about six hours for police to carry out a forensic examination of the scene and recover the motorcycle.
Police enquiries are continuing to find the rider's next of kin, and officers from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses.
