Ottery Community Theatre’s summer production Moving On consists of three separate plays, and will take place on Friday, July 21 and Saturday 22 at The Institute.

The first play, Top Leaf, written and directed by Jennifer Gold, showcases the talents of the younger members of OCT, some of whom will be acting with the group for the first time.

In the second play, The Playground, written and directed by Chelle Walsh, a mother who is new to a school tries to get accepted by a group of parents who already know each other.

The final play, Pete, has been written by Steve Chapman and is being directed by Ali Owen. Pete is a somewhat mysterious person who pops up into the lives of John, Meg and Janey.

The theatre group says some of the themes in the plays will not be suitable for children.

The ticket price of £12 includes a ploughman’s supper, and seating will be café style. Audience members are invited to bring their own drinks and preferably their own glasses. There will be a raffle from which a donation will be made to RIO (Recycling In Ottery).

Tickets are available now from The Curious Otter, from Jill on (01404) 813741 or by emailing otterycommunitytheatre@gmail.com. The theatre group is asking people to buy their tickets as soon as possible, as this will make it easier to plan the catering.
