Two Seaton teenagers are holding a disco next month to raise funds for an expedition to Costa Rica next year.
Sidmouth College students Josie Bennett and Cameron Vincent have signed up for a four-week volunteering trip with Camps International. They will work on community, environment and conservation projects in Costa Rica, such as helping to build a school and planting trees in the rainforest.
The pair have to raise £4,850 each to cover the costs of their once-in-a-lifetime expedition, and the proceeds from the disco will go towards this. They hope to raise between £500 and £750 from ticket sales and a raffle.
It will be held on Saturday, July 15 at Colyford Village Hall from 7pm. Booking is essential. Tickets are £10 per person, with no charge for children under 12. Snacks will be provided and there will also be a bar.
To book, contact Josie at lucyculpinbennett1@gmail.com or Cameron at mrsdawniev@hotmail.com
