Sidmouth's Fourways Residential Home has been shortlisted for a national award in the care sector.
The home is among seven finalists in the ‘Commitment to Training and Development’ category in the sixth annual Caring UK Awards.
It will now go through to the next stage of the judging process, in which managers and staff will be asked how the home's training programmes ensure that clients are given the best possible care.
A spokesperson for Caring UK said: “Never has there been a more appropriate time to recognise the amazing and selfless contribution that our carers make and how they have given so much to protect and care for their residents in the face of unprecedented challenges.”
The winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony in Leicester on Thursday, December 7.
