The Sid Valley Memory Cafe - Sidmouth's dementia charity - are holding an event at the Sidmouth Conservative Club on November 10.

Mary King MBE will talk about her fantastic bike ride from John O'Groats to Land's End. She raised over £10,000 for the memory cafe.

A spokesman for the event said: "You will be treated to a wonderful illustrated discussion by Mary and a hot supper. Subsidised drinks bar is also available plus a raffle.

Tickets to the event cost £12.50 which includes the supper. Doors open at 6.15 and the talk will start at 7.30. Tickets are limited so please book early.

Sid Valley Memory Café is a friendly, social meeting place for people with all forms of memory problems and their families and friends. They meet every Wednesday at Twyford House in Sidmouth.

People are not charged to join our Memory Café, as they are funded through personal donations, grants and other fundraising activities. Every penny donated goes directly to support people, help to reduce loneliness and isolation and connect families to much-needed practical and emotional support.
