A second tree has been planted in the grounds of Sidmouth College under a scheme initiated by the town's Rotary Club.
In 2022 the club started its 'Tree for Life' programme, which will see the Rotary donate a tree to mark the end of the school year for Year 11 students. Last year the college received a Coastal Redwood (Sequoia).
Sidmouth Rotary presented the college with its second Tree for Life, a Liquid Amber Maple, on Thursday, November 16, and members were joined by staff and pupils for the planting.
College principal Mrs Sarah Parsons said: ”This is such a wonderful programme for the College, we are really grateful to the Rotary Club for the tree donation and the subsequent annual donations.
"Each year these trees will improve our site for our students and we are looking forward to them growing over the coming years.”
