Nominations are now open for Sidmouth Rotary Club's Citizen of the Year award.
The annual award was established in 1985 and is a chance to give recognition to one of the town’s unsung heroes. It's open to anyone who has made a significant contribution to the Sidmouth community during 2023.
This could be someone who works for a charity or community group, or an individual who acts on their own behalf to help people. The Citizen of the Year 2022 was Teresa Loynd, owner of Woolbrook News, for her dedication to supporting the local community and in particular to supporting Ukrainian women and children and their host families.
Sidmouth Rotary Club is once again joining forces with the Herald to search for the 2023 Citizen of the Year. Nomination forms will be printed in the paper and must be sent to the Rotary Club co-ordinator by Friday, February 2.
