'Veganuary' comes to Sidmouth in the New Year with a two-week information display at the library.
The event, for anyone interested in changing to a plant-based diet, will be launched with a coffee morning and information stall on Saturday, January 6 at the library from 10 am until 12 noon. Visitors will be able to enjoy food samples and cakes, with experienced vegans on hand to answer questions and give advice in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Event organiser Sharon Howe said: "Veganuary has become a popular, nationally recognised event in recent years and has helped to persuade many people to try a healthy, environmentally friendly and compassionate vegan diet. This year in Sidmouth we'll be providing all those who are interested with all the information they need to embrace a plant-based diet, including delicious recipes and other nutritional advice."
Anybody unable to visit the library can learn more about Veganuary and how to participate in the month-long campaign by visiting the website at www.veganuary.com All who sign up to try a vegan diet receive a free celebrity e-cookbook along with other inspiring recipes, meal plans and other tips.
