The owner of Devon Eco Boutique in Ottery St Mary has been listed among the UK’s Top Female Entrepreneurs of 2024.
Nicci Simpson is named among 100 inspiring female business leaders across the UK as part of the f:entrepreneur Campaign. This is part of Small Business Britain and aims to recognise the number of women running successful enterprises.
Nicci said: 'It was absolutely amazing opening that email to say I made the list. It doesn't feel real. It's such an impressive list of female entrepreneurs and I'm just really excited and grateful to be a part of it."
She opened what was then Eco Baby Box in September 2021, selling environment-friendly ethical products for babies and small children. The business was rebranded Devon Eco Boutique in 2023 after it branched out into selling a wider range of lifestyle products, including jewellery and homewares. The company has won several business awards and been shortlisted for many more.
Nicci has a small son, Ollie, and is an advocate for mental health.
