Millennium Walk will be closed for up to five weeks during repairs to stabilise the wall and the cliff at Connaught Gardens.

East Devon District Council has begun preparations for the work there today (Wednesday, February 28), setting up the site and installing anchors and scaffolding.

The council said it hopes the inspections and repairs will be finished before the Easter Holidays.

Millennium Walk will remain closed during this period to keep visitors safe.

Work is also to be carried out on the cliffs at Seaton's West walk and in Beer, including Annis' Knob. Contractors will be inspecting the cliffs and removing fallen material in Seaton on Monday, March 4 and Tuesday 5, and then in Beer on Wednesday 6 until Friday 8.
