Save the dates and get ready for the 2025 Sidmouth International Jazz and Blues Festival, taking place from Friday, May 23 to Monday, May 26, coinciding with the Spring Bank Holiday weekend.
Festival tickets have been released for the fourth-year festival which organisers 'promises to build on the tremendous success of the previous three years' with a stellar lineup of world class international talent.
Once again, Blackmore Gardens will be the festival's beating heart and main performance venue, hosting four stunning evening headline concerts from Friday, May 23 to Monday, May 26. A limited number of VIP packages will also be available, offering an extra touch of class for patrons, sponsors, and guests who want to experience the festival in style.
Confirmed headline artistes announced include Soul II Soul, the British music collective from London founded by Jazzy B in 1988 who will open the festival on Friday 23 May. They are best known for their major hits “Keep On Movin” and “Back To Life” and are guaranteed to get the audience in the mood to dance the evening away!
Additional headline acts announced include the acclaimed American jazz singer Curtis Stigers who performs on Sunday 25 May. Curtis makes a welcome return to the festival with his amazing quartet, and you can expect to hear hits such as “Your All That Matters To Me,” “I Wonder Why” and repertoire from Curti’s extensive catalogue and new material.
Eric Bibb the American Blues troubadour, songwriter and guitarist has also been confirmed to perform on the closing evening of the festival on the main stage at Blackmore Gardens on Monday 26 May. With a career spanning five decades, over forty albums, three Grammy nominations, a multitude of Blues Foundation awards and countless more accolades, Bibb has secured his legacy as a legendary figure in the blues and roots genre.
The main headline act for Saturday 24 May will be announced soon.
Daytime music performances will take place on the main outdoor stage over three days, from Saturday, May 24 to Monday, May 26, from 12.00pm showcasing the best established and emerging music talent. The lineup will include Jazz, Swing, Blues, Roots, Soul, Funk, Latin, and a few surprises the festival guarantees you will love!
Already confirmed are Nubiyan Twist, performing jazz, hip-hop, afrobeat, soul, reggae, and dance music. Wolfgang Valbrun, award winning jazz guitarist Zayn Mohammed, Wonder 45 from London, and award – winning Blues guitarist Laurence Jones.
Food concessions from East Devon providers, located on Peacock Lawns, along with a full bar in the main gardens, managed by our award-winning partners at Branscombe Brewery.
With merchandising throughout the event and other attractions include a pop-up record shop, kids’ entertainment, and face painting.
Fabulous free music will also be featured at various fringe venues throughout the town, with free street music at designated locations to bring a New Orleans vibe to the festival weekend.
