Sidmouth couple turned business partners have opened a new osteopathy business on Temple Street.
To celebrate the opening of Seawise Osteopaths, Josh Martin and Madison Kennelly are opening their doors for a coffee and cake morning on Sunday October 27 in aid of Sidmouth Hospice at Home, before embarking on a wellness walk, dubbed Seawalks, along Sidmouth beachfront where locals can discuss their physical and mental wellbeing.
The pair, who recently moved to Sidmouth from London after graduating with a Master’s Degree in Osteopathy at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine, have made their dreams a reality by opening their very own osteopathy business on Temple Street in Sidmouth.
To coincide with the clocks going backwards this weekend, the pair say they want to help locals beat the Winter blues, with a wellness walk for those on the South Coast.
Josh noted how the increased hours of darkness can result in low mood and depression in some people, as well as fatigue, muscle pain and weakened bones due to a lack of vitamin D from exposure to sunlight.
Josh Martin at Seawise Osteopaths, said: “Both Madison and I are passionate about physical and mental wellbeing and really want to make a difference in our new community.
“We recognise this can be a difficult time physically and mentally, adjusting from summer, to autumn and winter, and with that comes a range of physical and mental ailments, so what better time to both open our new business and launch our Seawalks initiative.”
“We hope our coffee and cake morning can help raise vital funds for Sidmouth Hospice at Home, while our Seawalks initiative will help get the community out and about and active, as well as giving them a chance to chat through their physical and mental wellbeing.”
"We specialise in helping clients achieve better health and wellbeing through personalised care, reducing pain, restoring function and helping people live a more active and fulfilling life."
This includes solutions for chronic pain, reduced mobility and postural imbalances, physical and mental ailments.
