A 48-year-old man has been accused of continuous acts of violence towards his partner.

Robert Crew, of Blackmore Road, Stalbridge, pleaded not guilty to controlling and coercive behaviour from January 16, 2023, to July 23, 2023, in Exeter.

District Judge Smith said the case was unsuitable for trial in Magistrates’ court.

The case was listed for trial at Exeter Crown Court, where Crew will appear on July 3. He was released on bail.
