A new classical season is set to strike the right note with orchestral concerts, free recitals and a programme spanning Chopin, Beethoven, Brahms and more.
Isca Ensemble Southwest has announced its latest series of performances, which will take place mainly at Sidmouth Parish Church.
The ensemble said its programmes regularly feature professional soloists from the UK and Europe.
The season begins with the Isca Duo, violinist Oxana Militsina and pianist Antony Clements, presenting its second major recital at Sidmouth Parish Church on Sunday, September 20, at 3pm.
Their programme will include works by Bach, Beethoven's Violin Sonata No 2 Op 12, John Williams's Theme from Schindler's List, Grieg's Violin Sonata No 2 and music by Brahms.
Admission to the recital is free, with tickets available in advance.
The orchestra's first concert follows on Saturday, October 17, at 7.30pm, when British-Polish pianist and Steinway Artist Lucas Krupinski returns to perform Chopin's First Piano Concerto.
The programme will also include Beethoven's Leonora Overture No 3 and Brahms's Third Symphony.
Lucas, following a tour of Poland and Australia, will then give a recital at Sidmouth Parish Church on Sunday, October 18, at 3pm.
He will perform music by Bach, Schumann's Kreisleriana, Brahms and Chopin's Fantasia in F minor.
Free tickets are available in advance for the recital, with some also due to be available on the door from 2.30pm.
Both recitals will feature interval refreshments and a retiring collection for the British Red Cross International Aid Appeal.
Isca Ensemble Southwest will return on Saturday, December 12, for its annual seasonal programme.
The concert will include Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel Overture, Saint-Saëns's Bacchanale, Johann Strauss's Blue Danube Waltz, Chabrier's España and the Waltz from Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings.
Also on the programme are the Polonaise and Waltz from Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin, Sibelius's Karelia Suite and Arturo Martinez's Danźon No 2.
