£50k to be spent on Ottery council houses

NEARLY £50,000 will be splashed on giving the outside of 107 council houses in Ottery and Tipton St John a makeover this year.

NEARLY £50,000 will be splashed on giving the outside of 107 council houses in Ottery and Tipton St John a makeover this year.

East Devon District Council will fork out £49,820 on redecorating the exteriors of 55 of its properties in Tipton Vale and Combe Vale, as well as 55 properties in Ottery.

The cash has been stumped up as part of a £425,000 programme by the council that will see 820 houses, bungalows and flats and 233 garages get an external sprucing up.
