Vandals also struck at Jacob’s Ladder, where they kicked down doors and tried to gain access to 12 of the beach huts.
The properties were severely damaged in last winter’s storms and repaired at a cost of £16,600.
East Devon District Council now has to foot a £600 bill to fix the doors, which were broken open last Thursday night (January 29).
Most properties were targeted - those whose doors did not break were left with muddy footprints.
A spokesman said: “All repairs should be completed prior to the new season.
“We are not aware of anything being taken from the huts, as they are off-hire at present, and, therefore, should have been empty.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101 and quote crime reference CR/007593/15.
