The renowned presenter will sign copies of her debut children’s book at Winstone’s

Acclaimed author and presenter Clare Balding will make a special visit to Sidmouth next week to promote her debut children’s book.

Young readers, horse lovers and fans are being offered a rare opportunity to meet the national treasure, who is best known for her coverage of major international sporting events. She will sign copies of her new story - The Racehorse Who Wouldn’t Gallop.

Clare will be at Winstone’s book shop, High Street, from 3.30pm to 4.30pm, on Wednesday, October 5.

Winstone’s manager Carl East said: “It’s really exciting to have such a top name coming to the shop. We are really pleased that Clare has managed to fit in an extra stop on her tour.”

Her first book, My Animals and Other Family, was a bestseller and the subsequent title, Walking Home, was also a Sunday Times bestseller.
