Air ambulance called to Sidmouth after critical patient report

AN Air Ambulance landed at Sidmouth Rugby Ground yesterday (Thursday) morning following reports of an elderly person in a life threatening condition. The Air Ambulance was asked to attend at around 10.30am and a land crew was also present on the scene. H

AN Air Ambulance landed at Sidmouth Rugby Ground yesterday (Thursday) morning following reports of an elderly person in a life threatening condition.

The Air Ambulance was asked to attend at around 10.30am and a land crew was also present on the scene. However the air ambulance left the scene at 11.30am without a patient on board.

A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said: "The Air Ambulance was deployed to a private address and the rugby ground was selected as an appropriate place to land. The air ambulance was asked to step down and it did not transport anyone to hospital.
