A DAY devoted to alcohol awareness at Sidmouth College gave pupils an insight into the dangers of the legal drug.
As part of the year seven's Personal, Social, Health and Economic education, the pupils watched a play focusing on the character Al Kohol and the decisions he makes in life.
Paul Stevens, who tours school with his educational play Time in a Bottle, then gave the pupils a chance to explore the facts surrounding alcohol through a workshop.
Martin Long, the school's Every Child Matters Co-ordinator, said: "The children reacted very positively. It really does give the children the opportunity to think about some of the issues relating to alcohol which we can now discuss in class. Having taken part in the activities the pupils can now discuss the topic with their parents.
