THE highest possible score for cleanliness has been awarded to South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust by the Care Quality Commission, the UK's independent healthcare regulator.
Last year 170 NHS organisations were chosen for random inspections and the Trust received a four-day visit in February.
Its report praised the Trust for establishing infection prevention and control as one of its top priorities.
