Some 450 people - many in fancy dress - took part in a marathon bicycle ride on Saturday, which is expected to have raised more than £4,000 for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT).

Honiton taxi driver Adrian Phillips, a member of the family that organises the bike ride, said they were delighted with the turnout at the annual event.

The 24-mile ride included six stops with a barbecue lunch at The Thirsty Farmer, in Whimple, and a hog roast at the Otter Inn, Weston.

Adrian said: “I would like thank our sponsors, who include Heathpark Commercials. South West Highways, To and Fro, Tesco Honiton, Cycle Honiton, Blamphayne Sawmills, AG Signs and Print.”
